Short Description:

In your role as the Video Editor at Capital Exotic, a Luxury Lifestyle Brand, your main task will be to create and edit all video content. This content will be used across our website and various social media platforms. You will be responsible for transforming raw camera footage into a visually appealing format that is suitable for our target audience.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and editing video content for various platforms such as the company website and social media channels.
• Collaborating with the marketing team to understand the brand’s vision and target audience.
• Transforming raw camera footage into a visually engaging and cohesive final product.
• Selecting and incorporating suitable music, graphics, and special effects to enhance the videos.
• Ensuring that the videos align with the company’s brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual style.
• Managing and organizing video files, maintaining an organized library for easy access and retrieval.
• Staying updated on industry trends and new editing techniques to continuously improve the quality of the videos.
• Meeting deadlines and working efficiently to deliver high-quality video content within specified time frames.
• Communicating and coordinating with other team members, such as videographers, graphic designers, and marketing managers, to ensure a smooth video production process.
• Conducting quality checks to ensure that all videos are error-free, properly rendered, and optimized for different platforms and devices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills and creative vision.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
• Solid understanding of video editing principles, including storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
• Knowledge of various video formats, codecs, and file conversion processes.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects software, such as Adobe After Effects or Cinema 4D, is a plus.
• Ability to work with different types of footage, including raw camera footage, interviews, B-roll, and stock footage.
• Strong attention to detail and maintaining high-quality standards in editing and post-production processes.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with other team members and understand project requirements.
• A creative mindset and the ability to think outside the box to bring innovative ideas to video projects.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and willingness to learn new techniques and technologies in video editing.
• A solid understanding of the target audience and the ability to tailor video content accordingly.
• Experience in editing videos for social media platforms and a good understanding of their specific requirements and best practices.
