Under the hood is AMG’s 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with a 48-volt EQ Boost starter-generator: 429 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and a 0–60 run of roughly 4.8 seconds. Inside you get the MBUX tilt-adjusting touchscreen, Nappa leather, AIRSCARF neck heating for cool evenings, and Burmester sound.
Rentals include 100 miles per day, and we call your insurance company to verify coverage for you. Delivery is available within 50 miles of our Chantilly showroom, five minutes from Dulles — or pick it up in person by appointment. Soft-top. The current-generation SL returned to a fabric roof that opens or closes in about 15 seconds at speeds up to 37 mph, so you can make the call at a stoplight.
How many people fit in the SL 53?
It’s a 2+2 — two full front seats and two small rear seats best suited to kids or bags. For four adults, look at the Maybach or G63 instead.
Can I rent the SL 53 if I’m under 25?
Yes. Renters 21 and over may rent cars under $900/day, and the SL 53 qualifies. You’ll need a valid license and full-coverage insurance — we verify it with your insurer for you.
What is the security deposit on the SL 53?
